Scripture Pics

Each week I will try to post a picture that relates to one of the Revised Common Lectionary texts. These pictures are offered free for you to use to enhance your worship services or your computer desktop.

'Who touched me?'

...she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Praise You In This Storm

I'm singing Casting Crown's "Praise You In This Storm" as a response to the sermon this week. I plan on using this image as a background while I'm singing. Hope you find it useful too.

Here's the chorus of the song...

"And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And ev'ry tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm"

The kingdom of God is like...

Where I come from we relate more to an acorn and an oak tree than to a mustard seed.

Trinity Sunday

This one doesn't really directly match up with one of the lectionary readings, but it should do for a general image for Trinity Sunday.

Pentecost

I went a bit beyond this week's reading of Acts 2:1-21. The verse in the image is from verses 38 -39. I'm also including a version of the image that only has the background. That way you can put whatever you want on top. The text in the background is verses 38-39 in different languages.
