Leaving Home
Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living."

Love this graphic. My sermon title for this passage is "Dad always liked you best" -both sons probably could say that! The younger one left, and comes home and the elder feels unwelcome. Will he walk away? We don't know how the story turns out!

Great graphic as always. I played around with it a bit on a data projection slide. As well as the original version of the slide, I have copied, cropped and pasted to look like "Coming Home". I have also included the words, "Jesus bids us not to turn away" and "Jesus bids us to come" and placed them as appropriate. I have also included the words of the old hymn, "Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling ..." at the bottom of the slide.
