I added a "Donate" button to the site yesterday. It allows you to make a donation of any amount to ScripturePics. The donation is made through PayPal. You don't have to have PayPal account to use it. It will accept several major credit cards as well. Any sized donation would be appreciated to keep the site going. If this works out maybe I can drop the Google Ads from the site.

I'm going to try something new with Scripturepics for a while. Starting this week I'm going to be linking to images by other people. This way you'll have more to choose from, and I'll be able to cover more of the lectionary readings. My vision is to create something like a visual lectionary resource. The images will all be public domain or under a Creative Commons License. Clicking on the image will take you to the picture owner's site. When using the images please abide by the original author's usage instructions. Most of the images right now are from flickr and Wikimedia Commons. If you'd like to know more about the Creative Commons License go here.

Time to get back to work. Things are starting to take shape around here. My wife started seminary this fall. So there's been some shuffling of duties around our house lately. I think we've got them sorted out well enough that I can start spending some time with ScripturePics again.

I'd like to add a new element to the site. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but wasn't quite sure how to go about doing it.  I think we'll just give it a try and let it take it's own shape. I'd like to offer start offering "Made to Order" images. I'm not going to put a specific price on this, but just suggest that you make a donation to ScripturePics. I think in most cases I should be able to turn around the image within a week's time, but please always give me some sort of deadline of when you will need it.

To request a "Made to Order" image just use the Email Matt link on the front page menu. Give me a rough idea of what you want. I'll respond back within 24 hours and let you know if I can do it.
