I am…hmm…let’s see…

I am a writer, an avid reader, a poet, and a nature nerd.  I am married to my best friend and the love of my life, Matt.  We are mostly polar opposites, but it works for us.  The magnet thing is good. 

I am the mother of two awesome kids.  John is 10 and has inherited my love for reading and nature.  Gracie is 7 and though she tends toward my stormy nature, she is also the sweetest and most loving little girl you’ve ever seen.  She has inherited Matt’s bent for all things musical and she sings with him in our church praise band.  As a family, we enjoy canoeing, hiking, swimming, and tae kwon do. 

I am currently a student at United Theological Seminary pursuing my Masters of Theology and seeking ordination in the United Methodist Church.  I love school and though I am challenged by the learning, I am always hungry for more.

I am passionate about the Bible, reading it aloud, studying its meaning, pouring over verses and what they have to say about where I am right now.  I love to teach, preach and encourage others on their own spiritual journeys.  I look forward to blogging with you.
